Religious Education class registration for the 2025-26 school year will open June 2, 2025.

Traditional Classroom SessionsSundays 9:15-10:45 a.m. @STM for grades 1-8
orWednesdays 5:30-7:00 p.m. @STM for grades 1-8Home School Catechesis for grades 1-8Our families have the opportunity to teach their children the faith at homewhile using our curriculum, resources, and materials.Students, under the direction of their parents, will follow a syllabus and submitcompleted assignments online in accordance with the faith formation schedule.*It is preferred that sacramental prep students in 2nd & 8th grades attend in-person classes.Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level I

Thursdays 4:30-6:00 p.m. @SJCFor Level II CGS, preference will be given to those children who are moving on to Level II from Level I,
as well as to those children who are continuing their formation in Level II CGS.Religious Education Program for Children and Teens with a Developmental Disorder
(Autism and/or an Intellectual Disorder)
This program begins with a large group, then each student is paired with a teen mentor for individual instruction. Mentors are taught how to teach and model typical adolescent behaviors and mannerisms.
These classes are from a curriculum approved by the USCCB.
Sundays 8:00-8:45 a.m.

The Diocese of Pittsburgh requires two years of formation prior to the celebrations of First Eucharist and Confirmation.
Children new to the program must submit a copy of their BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE to the Religious Education office upon registration. (To obtain a copy of your child's baptismal certificate, please contact the Diocese of Pittsburgh at 412-456-3158 or visit https://diopitt.org/sacramental-record-request.)
